Superstar Rajinikanth's magnum opus flick "Endhiran : the Robot", which was released in three languages with three different names, has broken all the box office records with a collection of 117 crores of rupees just in seven days.

According to few media circles the movie has grossed 260 crores in a week time which was more than the entire collection of Aamir Khan starrer 'Ghajini'

As the entertainment tax structure in the southern states is confusing enough, the trade analysts put robot's collection between 117 and 260 crores.

For the first in the history of indian cinema a movie dubbed in hindi has collected 15 crores rupees and the break up of 117 crores is as follows,

1.Rs 60 crores in Tamilnadu.
2.Rs 30 crores in Andhra pradesh.
3.Rs 15 crores in North India.
4.Rs 8 crores in Karnataka.
5.Rs 4 crores in Kerala.

The movie has surpassed all the box office collection records set by bollywood's big movies such as '3 idiots' and 'dabangg' and all set to become india's all time high benchmark movie, a thing that will confuse even the khans.

The peace of information that will make us awe-struck is, it surpassed the first-week collection of Bollywood's highest first-week grosser 'Dabangg' (Rs 82 crore) and the 117 crore mark is equal to Dabangg's two weeks collection.

According to a different source, the Hindi version of the film Robot alone has done a business of nearly Rs 30 crores in the first week.

Amod Mehra said, "Robot has broken all the norms of a dubbed film. I don't remember any dubbed film crossing even the one crore mark."
